Happy 40th Anniversary Mom and Dad!!!

This Saturday my parents celebrate their 40th Wedding Anniversary.  I can't believe they have been together 40 years!  Here are a few picturse from when they first met.

Celebrating 40 years in Hawaii

I am so thankful for my parents and love them so much.  They have made so many sacrifices for each other, and for our family.  I am so lucky to have them as my parents and grandparents to my boys.  They have worked so hard on their marraige and raising a family. I'm just so thankful that they never gave up on each other or on us.  Because of their hard work and dedication to each other and our family we have made so many happy memories through the years.

They have taught us what it is like to raise a family, and how important it is to have faith, pray, and be part of a church, to always be there for your friends, to always be there for each other.  They have taught us there will be tough times along with the good times, but to support each other no matter what.  I am so thankful they have been such a great example of a Christian marraige for me and Mike. 

So HAPPY 40 YEARS MOM AND DAD!!!!

Here's to many many more years of Happiness together, and many many more memories to come.

Alex can wave!

It's the little things right? Over vacation, on the lazy river actually, we discovered Alex knows how to wave!! The lifeguard waved at Alex, and he just waved right back!
......And he has been waving ever since. It's the cutest little thing. Below is a picture of Alex waving to me tonight. He was climbing on teh china cabinet, I looked over and said hey and he just started waving.

I'm a little late on uploading some videos - but I just got around to clearning on off our video camera before heading to Colorado. 

Here is a video of us cutting upen our Pineapple straight from Hawaii!!! So excited.  Thank you Grandma and Grandpa it tasted delicious!!

Granite here we come!!!

Our granite comes Tuesday at 7am!!! So that means tonight, we completely took apart our kitchen ourselves to get ready. We thought we'd save some money and get the kitchen ready ourselves. Hopefully we are able to put it back together too
( biggest challenge is the sink). I am so excited about the granite, new sink, and faucet!! I am so excited to see how everything turns out. I cant wait to post bedore and after kitchen remodel pictures!

Good signs from the Garden!!!!

Lets rewind a year ago today.
May 16, 2011. I was very pregnant and it was very hot. As the summer went by, i got even more pregnant, and yes, it got even hotter. So needless to say our garden last year was far from award winning. This year, we are so excited about our garden. I even got our soil tested to make sure everything checked out good. We have tilled it, picked weeds, watered it, and checked up on it. Yesterday I saw our first tomato starting to grow AND a pretty good looking zuchini. I was a little excited. I think this i a good sign of a fruitful harvest to come!!

A sleeping miracle!

A sleeping miracle occured last night at our house. Alex slept in his crib from 9:10 to 7:45am. I couldn't believe it. I only checked on him 4 times, thats a good number right? Haha each time he was snoring so loudly, I knew he was ok. Icing on tge cake was that Max didnt wake up til 8! Alex has been an excellent sleeper the past month normally waiting til 4,5, or 6am before he wants to nurse, but he always goes back to sleep after that nurse, so that works good for me, but last night was perfect, knock on wood, let's see if we can do that again tonight!

Grandpa Lamb turn's 94

Grandpa Lamb turned 94 in March, so we headed down to Delight, AR to celebrate with the Lamb family.  It is a tradition that we always plan a weekend in March to travel down for Grandpa Lamb's Birthday. Shannon, Nathan, and the kids came down and stayed at MiMi's house, so it was a full house full of fun.  The kids all had fun driving around their cars, playing baseball, and a favorite - their glow in the dark necklaces. On Saturday we went over to Grandpa's house and celebrated his birthday.  It was so fun visiting with everyone, having lunch, eating a delicious cake, watching the kids play outside, and listening to Laura and Dave play some music.  I love the tradition of traveling down every March for Grandpa Lamb's Birthday.

We visited Delight in March, the same week Alex turned 6 month's old so we decided to take some 6 month pictures of our little guy. We took him over to Grandpa Lamb's barn and got some great photos.  Mike is such a talented photographer.

Max and Alex wanted to wish their MiMi and all of their other nursing friends a very Happy Nurses week!  Thank you for all of your hard work, dedication, and those "after hour nursing advise phone calls from family and friends".
