Max and Alex get a swingset

We had talked a while about how our yard would be great for a swing set. We thought about getting one for Christmas, but we than we thought how we really didn't want to put one together in middle of winter, and how if we put it together in the middle of winter, than Max wouldn't really be able to play with it becuase it would be too cold.....than we thought we'd get it for his Birthday - February 16th - than we convinced ourselves we would have the same problems...finally we decided in April that the weather was good enough to build him a swing set, and since we knew already there was an Alex on the way - it is now Max and Alex's swing set. This has already and will save us numerous daily trips to the neighborhood park now that we have a little park of our own, and it will give me and mike a chance to work in the garden or the flower beds or relax on the deck while Max (and soon Alex) play on the swing set, or as Max calls it "my house".

My dad was so nice and not only helped us pick up the swing set from site to store but also helped us put it together. Max was a big helper too.

you would not believe how many pieces of wood a small swing set takes

The finished product looks great!

The men are done - we celebrated with steaks on the deck

Final Four

With everything going on in our lives, we didn't really get that into March Madness this year. We didn't even fill out a bracket! We did decide to tune in to watch the final 4 though, it was fun. We fixed fajitas and sat down to watch the game. This is max enjoying his dinner.

outside time

A day at the park
telling us which way the park is ( as if we forgot)

This was the first day this spring he got to wear shorts!
This is the before picture of our flower bed taken over by winter.....hopefully it looks completely different after this weekend. We are excited to get it looking pretty again

13 weeks

Professional photos by Mike.....this is me 13 weeks pregnant!

Bekah turns 4

We wanted to help Bekah celebrate her 4th Birthday, so me, mike, and max decided to take Bekah and Matt to Chuckee Cheese at the promenade than take them to the foodcourt for some lunch and presents.

I think they both played really well together. They loved this bowling game with a real ball ( eventhough there was only one ball)

Mike and Matt tried to beat me at the football game, they both still need some practice. While we played football, Max and Bekah went a little wild in the ski ball area.

We actually didn't even have to put a token in for this game, they were happy enough just playing the example

Mike was such a good uncle - he bought Bekah a cup to match Max's for her birthday. She gets FREE refills for LIFE! Matt was excited.

Bekah enjoyed the Build a Bear gift card from my parents

Uncle Mike helps opens the big gift!
A new pink hot wheels!

March Trip to Delight

Mike's grandfather on the Lamb side celebrated his 94th Birthday

Max loved laying in bed with Layton and Bekah - he felt like such a big boy. He even got to share Layton's game

Little man sleeping

We love to take pictures of our little man snoozing away.

Alexander Gerard Lamb

Last week we had our 2D Ultrasound. We had to use the telemedicine with UAMS, so we could get specialist to look over the results and make sure everything was ok. Since I was on coumadin when I became pregnant, and am on Lovenox every 12 hours and have had a DVT and bi lateral PE's, this pregnancy is considered high risk. We are so thankful that everything looked ok with the baby, and with me. It was a great appointment other than being 18 weeks pregnant and lying on a hard table for an hour and 20 minutes. One neat thing we found out at this appointment was that we are having a BOY! yep - another BOY! We smiled and laughed when they told us the news, and of course asked how sure they were. Bill, the untrasound technician, said if he were a betting man, he'd bet boy. He even printed us out a picture of the "proof".

We decided on a name a few weeks ago for a boy. We had a small challenge of trying to pick something out that matched up with Maximus Warner Lamb. We couldn't exactly name our next boy Bob. We decided on Alexander. We thought that sounded like a good strong name, and we thought Alex and Max sounded good together. Gerard is my favorite part of the name. Maximus Warner is not only named after his dad (Mike) Micheal Warner, but after Grandpa Lamb - Barden Warner Lamb. We thought it would be great to give Alex my grandfather's middle name which was Gerard, so he will be named after Wilbur Gerard Van Es. ( My grandfather actually also had a twin named Gerard Wilbur). My grandfather passed away 10 years ago from a burning accident in his backyard. We all have missed him so much, and he meant a lot to me, so it means a lot to me to be able to name one of my sons after him. We also thought it was neat that both of our sons will have a great grandfather's middle name.

So Alexander Gerard Lamb is due September 20th. We will have a C-section a few weeks before to hopefully prevent anything close to the first labor with Max. I am shooting for September 8th or 9th - we will keep you updated as the day gets closer and the day gets set!

We bought Alex's nursery decor and bedding today!!

go to the above link to see what Alex's nursery will look like! We are going to try and bring out the orange and green a lot, probably on the walls. I wasn't able to find the rug or the lamp anywhere, so if you happen to find it, please let me know. Everything should be in next week, than we'll take it to Lowe's to pick out the paint color!

We found out what can silence these Lambs...

Sorry our last post was from New Years....we will definatley pick it back up now that things have calmed down atleast somewhat at the Lamb house. Plus - we are goign to have so many updates over the next few months we will want to share with you!!!

On Saturday, January 26th, Me, Mike, and Max found out we were expecting another addition to our family!! We were extremely excited, but caught a little by surprise - the last few months have been spent letting the news sink in and starting on the first of many changes that are to come over the next few months.

Below is a short version of what we would have blogged about - if we would have had the time, effort, or a computer! haha

January 26th - found out new baby was on the way!
February - SNOW SNOW SNOW - most snow NWA has ever seen including a snow that dropped 24 inches of snow in 12 hours, Valentine's Day, Max and Laney's Birthdays, visit from MiMi and PawPaw
March - Gran's Birthday at Shoguns,11 week ultrasound, annoucing the news to friends and family, clearing out the office/playroom - which turned into a HUGE project of completely rearranging our house, throwing out a LOT, putting a lot of stuff in boxes for a garage sale, and organzing what we had left. Since we moved the computer out of the office, but didn't have a spot in the bedroom to put it yet, this left me without a computer for a while ( another reason why blogging was difficult!)
April - Cleaning out the flower beds ( still waiting to plant), Kelley's Birthday, visit to Russellville, visit to Delight, buying some new stuff for Max and Alex, getting the nursery ready...and now Kelley's Birthday and Easter weekend

now you are caught up!

stay tuned for more fun blogs to come -
