3:15 alarm rings....by 3:45 we are on the road! We figured we'd leave at that time for several reasons. 1 - if we went to bed at 9 , that means we'd still get almost 7 hours of sleep, which seeing as we normally only sleep from 10:30 to 4:50, that sounded pretty good. 2 - we knew Max would sleep for a lot at the begining of the trip. 3 - we knew we'd make good time and would avoid some traffic. I would definitely recommend it for parents traveling with little ones. It made the trip so good. We could not have asked for max to behave better on this trip. It's almost like Max knew we were going on vacation and just knew it was somewhere special. I think he also knew he was goign to be spending a lot of time just with mommy and daddy. We absolutely loved spoiling him by playing with him in the backseat, getting him a hashbrown at mcdonalds, watching movies with him, and letting him run wild in gas stations. We had so much fun on the way down. Some great family memories made together. We made it from Delight, AR all the way to Savanah, GA. Since it was actually the 4th of July when we were traveling we decided to find a fireworks show. - and boy did we luck out. We saw fireworks off the beach while driving over the biggest and tallest bridge Mike and I had ever been on. It was the perfect way to end the night before pulling in to the hotel - which by the way had the most comfortable bed out of any hotel I have ever slept at. Although my dad says after you travel 15 hours with an 18 month old that any bed is going to be the best bed, but I still believe it was....lights out - 11pm...
