Putting up the Christmas Tree

It's a tradition with Me and Mike to put the Christmas Tree up on my birthday night ( or close too/sometimes before). Since my Birthday is November 17th - and we normally go out of town to Delight for Deer Season and than away for Thanksgiving - This is a fun thing for me to do on my Birthday every year and that way the tree is ready to decorate once Thanksgiving is done!

This is the church carnival - Max went straight to the candy and didn't want to play the game! haha...luckily the church workers were pretty linient..haha

this is Max wondering why there is another boy dressed like him

We spent many 25 cent tickets on Max and the blow up castle...we finally ended up getting it free for the entire night - that lady got a kick out of max

Max trying to understand the concept of just picking up one duck....and why he isn't taking a bath in the pool

We were excited about taking max in teh church carnival. This gave us somethign to do on Halloween night besides going door to door with a scared 1 and ahalf year old. We got to take him from 4-6 at our church. They had several games, lots of candy, a cake walk ( that max and grandpa won), bingo, photo opp, and even a concession stand. It was fun seeing everyone in the costumes at the carnival.

Homecoming at the U of A

Me and Mike were excited about going to a football game together. We chose the Homecoming game. We had pretty good seats, great weather, and had a lot of fun. Our friends Matt and Jennifer Fox went along with us...it was a pretty rare occasion that it was just the 4 of us with none of the 4 kids - so we had fun hanging out and tailgating for a bit before the game. When even stopped for some photo opps outside the stadium. The neat thing about the game was that I got to bring our nice camera inside so I could zoom in and find people! I found Todd and Mabry and I found Jennifer and Matt! It was fun....what better double date than a hog game?!

Carving our Elmo Pumpkin

Me and Max have a tradition to carve a pumpkin every year. This was year number 2! He decided on an Elmo pumpkin. He actually really did choose it. We were on vacation in Dallas in Target ( I know - not Walmart)....and we were looking at the carving kits and he pointed and said Elmo! I had to get it....I think it turned out great! See later posts...

Mike and his Dad go to a hog game

Mike and his dad go to a very cold and rainy Ole Miss football game. It rained and it poured - they were home right after half - but they had a fun time. I love the picture of David.

Shoguns with MiMi and PawPaw

Mimi and Paw Paw came to visit and took us out to eat at Shogun in Fayetteville. I loved Max's reaction to the Birthday song - he couldn't quite figure it out.

Devil's Den with MiMi & PawPaw!

Mike's mom and Dad/MiMi and PawPaw came to visit in October for a week. They brough their camper and stayed out at Devil's Den. They kept the kids some days and had so much fun just out in the outdoors with Max and Bekah. Me and Mike took off at noon on that Monday to go spend a half day at the Park with everyone. It was one of the best half days off we have ever taken. It's been a while since we had just spent so much time outdoors in nature on a beautiful day. It was so much fun. Tracy showed us around the park, than drove everyone to the park where we played and played. They even had a bridge we could walk over the creek on. We walked over the rocks and to creek to throw rocks, and just played outdoors. After the park we drove back through the park to their camping site and cooked some dinner while the kids played more. We had pork and sausages on the grill with lots of sides - it was delicious - we all ate at teh picnic table together. AFter dinner, more play time, than we roasted marshmellows together! It actually went better than expected ( sometimes Max, sticks, and fire gets a little tricky) The kids behaved great and had a lot of fun with their MiMi and Paw Paw. See some pictures from the visit below!

Bekah and MiMi roast Marshmellows

Max was so dirty we gave him a bath in the camper ( this was also incase he decided to spend the night). We attempted - but Max was just too excited at the camper to sleep. Mike and I had to take him home and bring him back in the morning...we'll try again next year!

Everyone roasting smores. Max and Bekah were so good with not getting too close to the fire
