Kappa Delta State Weekend Tailgate

What a great KD state weekend. It was so fun to see a lot of the people that I hadn't seen in a while. Deidre, Jesi and I put together a "KD state weekend" meaning any KD alums in the state of Arkansas could attend our weekend festivities. We had it on the home Alabama weekend. Friday night we had the Chancelor of the University of Arkansas come speak and we had Chick Fila Catered in. Everyone enjoyed being at the KD house, looking around, and visiting with Mom MeMe. The next event was a tailgate on Saturday. I think that was our best turnout - I couldn't believe how many people were able to make it - and bring their kids! Since it was such a popular game, that grew a crowd, but also since the tickets were so hard to come by, a lot of people came just so they could still join in on game day fun. Sunday was just an open house, but we enjoyed visiting with everyone again. A neat part of the weekend was we ended up collecting about 50 purses for local women shelter's as a part of National Kappa Delta's Confidence Coilition project for 2010.

Shelby Lynn's is the best!!

So after Mike's heart issues, we decided to cut out caffeine, which includes chocolate! This presented a problem when we thought about our favorite Shelby Lynn's Chocolate Du bosh cake. Mike and me thought, well, we both love caramel, I wonder if they could substitute? They did! They made a special cake just for mike, it is delicious. It is made just like a chocolate fondant du bosh but uses caramel. Thank you Shelby Lynn's!! We ordered another one two weeks later for Mike's birthday.

Max helps out in the yard

Max is such a big help these days. We were getting the garden ready for winter. We thought we'd let him play with some toys while we worked but he was determined to do the same thing we were doing. He was right in the middle - but actually a big help too!!

Raylee Wagner turns 2!!!

SURROUND SOUND!!!

So this isn't the best picture...but hey - I found it on mike's phone. We are very proud of this speaker becuase it represents a great surround sound now at the Lambs! We had a small cheaper set when we were first married but a very scary lightening storm that we will never forget knocked it out when lightening hit our house. Two years later we finally decided to replace it - and this time even run the wires through the ceiling. How cool? I feel like we are in our own little movie theater now. Mike is very proud.
