Our Garage sale find

One Saturday in September Mike wakes up and decides he wants to go garage selling.  I love to do this and thought it would be a fun family activity.  We had a soccer game so only had about an hour but we thought we could hit up one or two before the game so we loaded up the boys and off we went!

and boy was it worth it!  Look what we found.

We drove up to a nice neighborhood and the guy had all blown up on his driveway.  It was love at first site.....for all of us in the car, haha.  Mike walked up and asked the guy how much.  $40?  Sounded good to us!  He even gave us a set of 3 reindeer and a sligh that light up in our yard for christmas (sorry not pictured).  I don't know who was more excited.  The boys for getting a new aswesome slide, me for the reindeer, or Mike for having success at a garage sale.  It is an awesome memory with the boys we still talk about til this day.

Best news is it was an extremely hot day so we blew it it up and put water in it the same day we bought it!  It was even more fun than the boys thought.

Below is a recent picture.  It is great to play with in our recent fall weather too, we just don't put water on the slide.  So it's like a bouncy house.  Me and Mike relax in the yard while the boys play away.

the slide is still up in our backyard even today.....it will be a sad day when we put it up for Winter :(

Junque 2 Jewels

Junque 2 Jewels is a new fun place in Bentonville where you can pay to go do crafts by yourself or with a group of friends.  It fills up fast so we signed up a month in advance.  My friend Jordan, my friend and neighbor Julie and me all signed up for a class to make a plaque to hang on our door.  It was $35 for the class.  Unfortunately Maddie got sick (Julie's daughter) so only me and Jordan were able to attend but I enjoyed getting to do something with Jordan and get to know her better and to hang out just us and no kids! She is a stay at home mom of 2 boys too.

Below is the process of making my door hanger.

First they give you blank - pre cut piece of wood.  A design that I had already chosen when I signed up

Next you pick your color. I thought this color would pop on my door.

Next if your brave....you do a stensil.  I chose yellow and a light blue

tada!

Here is a picture of half of the room working on their door hangers

I added a big L for Lamb

sideways....but I added the words, The Lambs in brown

added a bow that they helped me make

Here is me and Jordan with our finished signs!

the completed product.

A fun night with friends, for $35, and you get to take home this for your front door.  I definitely liked it and will definitely go back some day.

Double Digits?!!1 Mary Frannie turns 10!

In August, Mary Frannie turned 10!  My first niece in double digits.  I can't believe how big she is getting. I still remember holding her for the first time in Columbia Missouri on the day she was born.  She is growing up.  I love to spend time with her.  She always makes me laugh and me and her have the most interesting conversations. I love watching her tumble.  She is so good at it.  It reminds me of my love for gymnastics - although she is already better than I ever was. I also love to go shopping with her.  Besides the obvious (meaning unlike the boys she doesn't yank things off hangers, hide in the clothing racks, or want to play chase), she loves looking at the different outfits and talking about them.....an actually shopping experience, haha.  She is so smart, and is a good example for the other kids.  Alex adores her, and Max looks up to her.

For her Birthday she invited just our family over to celebrate.  We had dinner, played, opened presents, and ate lots of dessert!

Weather was so pretty, we sat outside

We had the sprinkler out and played on the trampoline

We sang Happy Birthday and ate some brownies!

Aunt Kelley bought a surprise for each of the kids (oreos for Alex).  The double doozies were delicious.  I'm pretty sure I ate more than half of Max's.

Next we got out the slip n slide.  It was fun to watch the boys attempt to show us how it was done.

Time to look at cards and open presents!

Me and Mike picked her out 2 new pairs of jeans and a new shirt.

Grandma and Grandpa got her an entire nail polish kit

Her dad got her a new bat

We sure had fun celebrating.  I still can't believe she is 10, is in the 5th grade, and is in MIDDLE SCHOOL!!!!

Love you Mary Frannie!!!
