Trip to Branson

We were getting a little cabin fever.  We hadn't spent the night in a hotel since October when we went to Big Cedar.  The trip just fell into place.  First, our open house got canceled which opened up our weekend (besides missing Rian's birthday that we are sad we had to miss), than my mom ironically had to take some stuff back to the outlet stores there (we could do this for her) than we realized Mike's favorite store Banana Republic outlet was having a 60% off sale!  (my main bait for getting Mike to agree to go on the trip). I immediately started searching for hotels becuase this was Wednesday - and we planned on leaving on that Friday!  Last minute trip....  I found this place called Castlerock that was having a 2 day special that included admission to an indoor waterpark all for $80 total.  I was so excited (our vacation fund could afford that :) )  so we booked the trip!  We left as soon as Mike got off work and we were in Branson at the hotel by 6pm.  We got some quick McDonalds and ate it in the room, changed into our swimsuits and headed to the water park.  It was a lot of fun.  I grabbed a few pictures but as you can imagin - it's not easy to take a lot of pictures at a waterpark with a 3 year old and 1 year old that both can't swim.  I'm glad I took a few.  Our favorite part was the lazy river.  Max was big enough for his own raft, and me and Mike took turns putting Alex on our laps.  We went round and around.  It was so relaxing and the boys LOVED it.  Me and Mike took turns on the big slides, we also spent some time in the big pools with Max in a life jacket and the 1 foot pool with the slides.  AFter the waterpark we got the boys dressed and cruised the strip.  Max loved pointing out all of the cool stuff he saw.  The next day we went outlet shopping with the boys which actually went easier that expected.  After we grabbed some lunch we headed back to the waterpark for more fun, than home we went.  It was a short trip but much needed and a lot of fun just to get away and spend fun time together as a family. Enjoy some pictures of the trip.
