Party Day

Finally....Olaf Party Day!

We had Alex's Birthday party on a Sunday afternoon.  Mike's parents came over early and let Alex open some of their gifts.

Alex is excited about his new Thomas the train tennis shoes.  We had to take them back and get a size 8!  He is growing boy.  He needed some new tennis shoes.  He wears them about every other day.

Party favor table was ready and complete for the kiddos to make their Thank you for coming bags

Fireplace was decked out with cards, presents, balloons, a huge olaf, and of course, the beach ball archway.

I made a cupcake olaf for the party.  It was so easy.

When guests entered the party they were greeted by Olaf and were encouraged to put on a lei.  Remember, this was an Olaf in Summer party.

My mom bought him this balloon from Party City.

My olaf Dairy free sugar cookies!

Me and Mike had fun in our photobooth

Lots of balloons

Our friends, The Shaws had just bought a brand new snowcone machine for their Preschool in Clarksville so they offered to let us use it for the Birthday party! The kids loved getting snowcones at the party.  It was perfect for the hot day.

After the party we went over to the pool  It closed the same day as Alex's party, so it was fun to get one last good long swim in with friends from the party.

Done with the party - alex was a little exhausted but it was sure fun.  I think we all felt one year older!

Photos out of order......

Had to get pictures with the balloons before bedtime

Long story short.  Alex did not open gifts at his actual party.  He was having WAY too much fun outside to want to come inside.....and he was getting a little tired and moody, so we didn't push the subject.  Instead we let Alex open the presents that night and than we took pictures with them the next morning to send thank you notes and texts to everyone.
