Grammery Park Christmas

Grammercy Park Christmas Party!!!!!

We heard rumor that one of our neighbors were going to throw a Christmas party for the neighborhood.  Me and Mike got excited because we have had so many people move in lately and with the weather being so cold we haven't really gotten a chance to meet them. Long story short, that neighbor's dog got injured so we thought we'd just move the party onto our house! Me and Mike made invitations, got Christmas cards together, and made sugar cookies and went around to all of the neighbors during the snow storm since we knew they would be home, and invited them all to the party!  We were excited about how excited all of them were for the party.  We set the date for Friday December 20th.  We have  2 houses being built, one of them is sold, 11 houses finished, 10 of them currently lived in, one of those being us - so we have 9 neighbors.  Well, 7 of the 9 houses came to the party, so we were excited about the great turn out. So we had a great turn out, and way too much food, and even SANTA made an appearance himself - which made it a great party.  Santa was a big hit at the party.  He even brought all 4 of the kids gifts which was a surprise to us all.  It was so sweet of Santa to show up to our Neighorhood party.  It really did make the kids night, the adults too.

I apologize in advance these are way out of order.

I wanted to do something special for the neighbors.  I realized that no matter when they moved in this year - it was going to be everyone's first Christmas in their new house here in Grammercy Park.  I thought, what a great thing to give them, a new ornmanet.  I bought simple ornaments from hobby lobby and painted on them 1st Christmas, Grammercy Park 2013.  All of the neighbors got to take one home.  I'm so glad I had time to get them done.

We had lots of great food, and several people brought food.  We had a great selection of appitizers and desserts.  We all were stuffed by the end of the night.

a few recent pictures of the neighborhood

This is our current pool. It's built 75 percent and they are probably waiting on the rest til Spring.  For now we'll use it as an iceskating rink

the backside of the neighborhood.  If you look far in the distance there is a hill, on the left side there are two new homes, both occupied.

Here is a view of the 2 newest houses.  The first one on the corner across from us, already sold, just waiting to be finished to move in.

I'm so glad the 1st annual Grammery Park Christmas Party went well.  I was so glad we were able to meet so many of our neighbors and get to know one another.  It was so fun to visit with everyone.  Hopefully this can become a tradition, maybe next year at our new clubhouse!
