Silver Dollar City skillet recipe

If you haven't gone to Silver Dollar City, you are missing out
If you haven't gone to Silver Dollar City, and haven't had one of their skillets, you are definitely missing out.

Silver Dollar City has the best skillets. They cook them on a huge skillet literally 4-5 feet long. Me and Mike tried to recreate their skillet to the best of our ability, and I personally thinks it tastes pretty good.  I thought I'd share the recipe with you in case you need a new idea for dinner one night soon.

Ingredients
Seasonings: Garlic salt, cavenders, pepper, olive oil, fresh garlic
Fully cooked sausage link
Potatoes, Fresh green beans, carrots, corn
Rice - see below what I use
butter - I use dairy free

In the largest skillet you have (If you don't have a large enough one just use more than one skillet and mix later) put a little olive oil in the bottom, than add your potatoes, green beans and carrots.

get out your seasonings

Sprinkle garlic salt, cavenders and pepper - pretty good amounts on the veggies

cover and cook on medium heat - stir every 5 minutes - cook about 25 minutes or until almost done
start the rice in a separate skillet -

get out your sausage

cut up sausage

open can of corn

get fresh garlic read

for the recipe/amount above I used this much fresh garlic

time to add about 3 teaspoons of butter, here is the brand I use to make it dairy and egg free

ADD to the mixture - the butter, the fresh garlic, the sausage, rice, corn - stir - cook about 15 minutes on lower heat until sausage is done. Sometimes I simmer it on low for up to 30 more minutes depending on when we are going to eat.  Remember, sausage is fully cooked so you are just warming it up - along with the corn.
Me and Mike love this recipe - hope you try it sometime!
